Hi Haley, a couple of things piqued my interest. The fourth article about students using crowdfunding to pay for higher education struck me as a little funny, since crowdfunding and equally sharing the costs of programs that benefit society are some of the core principles of socialism, but that's a bad word in America. So, instead of just delegating it to the state, students have to sacrifice their wages or their dignity to pay the exorbitant costs.
ReplyDeleteThe fifth article also interested me. I'd argue that many tours skip Tampa because artists usually don't have time for more than a couple Florida shows, so they usually do a Central Florida show in Orlando and a South Florida show in Miami. No artist would want to skip Miami, and having a show in Orlando makes sense since it will draw more crowds from the east coast and the north. Someone from Daytona is unlikely to drive to Tampa for a show, but they'll probably drive to Orlando, and so will people from Tampa. It's a more logical midpoint, plus the added bonus of the large venue that is the Amway Center.
